Today is my birthday, hurray!🎉 On Sunday I challenged myself to look at my life and note something I’m grateful for on each day of this week. So , shall we?

I am grateful for shelter and warm clothing. Are you all feeling this June cold? Nowadays I always need to have my socks and heaviest sweaters on. Today I saw someone’s caption that took me out but I do agree with it 😂. It read something along the lines of ‘maybe this cold is here to act as a neutralizing agent because June babies are so hot🥵🔥’. That is the only explanation that makes sense. Case closed!

Today I am grateful that I know God and that He’s always protecting me. This evening, I walked from the Fire Station in CBD, to Tearoom, with one of my bag’s pockets open; that pocket had my phone. I only realized it was open when I got to Tearoom. You can’t convince me that that wasn’t God holding my phone intact in the bag because this my City is an unsafe haven.

If you don’t have a relationship with God, I suggest you give it a try. It brings you so much contentment, joy and peace. As a matter of fact, lately God has been performing little little miracles in my life. Given that I have found myself losing my trust in Him, he’s a very faithful God for he held my hand even in those moments.

This challenge is clearly not going as planned 😂. Anyway, we move!

I am constantly grateful for family. From my parents, to my siblings, to my aunts and uncles, to my cousins. Now, ours is not the most ideal family but trust us to show up for each other when we are required to. Spending time with my family is really my favorite season of the year.

Today I am grateful for the community around me. I have been overwhelmed by the birthday wishes, like wawuu🥺. We should be celebrating birthdays every day please!

Highlight of the day so far, is my brother calling me. Guys, he’s in highschool but he had to find a way of getting to me on my actual birthday 😭. It’s the effort for me. Him and the father are always making sure I know I am loved by them❤️. I had no business dragging the father here😂, but these two men are really setting the bar as high as it needs to be!

ION, I once wrote a letter that I was supposed to read on this day. I’ve avoided looking for it, because I’m low-key afraid that it’ll mess with my happiness today. You can however go look for it and read it (it is among my posts), because I am not about to link it here, at least not today!
