Social Media can be a distractive and destructive platform as well as an inspiring and uplifting avenue. You choose what you want it to be for you. Today, I want to tell you about some ladies that have made my SM a beautiful place to spend time at. It’s International Women’s Month, so I bet you expected such a post, yes?
KITT KIARIE
She’s the lady that’s always shouting at her fansπ€£.
Her content revolves around lifestyle, family and unteaching misogynistic lies that we’ve all grown up believing in. I LOVE her sense of sarcasm – it’s huko juu!!!
She has a YouTube channel. She uploads a video every Monday morning, CONSISTENTLY!!! She once said that she schedules her videos upto 3 weeks in advance. It’s the commitment for me.
Her first video that I watched was the one where she was explaining how to behave as a host and as a guest. I found that one quite informative. I think you should watch it before the next time you host or visit someone.
My favorite video is the one where she took her children on individual dates. Talk of intentional parenting. I had never thought of that, until I watched the video. She for sure is a great mum.
The next time you feel like you are clowning on these streets, run to her IG page. Chances are she’ll already be shouting at us and that will quickly bring you back to your senses π€£. Ama just follow her saa hii tu ndo usijipate ukijidisrespect.
ANGIE OBWAKA
Angie is another intentional mum whose content I love binging on. I like that she’s actively working on growing her children in the Lord. You know Proverbs 22:6? She’s read that verse, understood it, and is living it. It’s always inspiring, watching her children say lengthy memory verses, with so much ease.
You need to follow her on IG for her reels. Kwanza the Luhya reels are itπ€£ – she’s a proud Luhya that one.
If you are looking for a job, this is the lady to follow. She posts job vacancies on her platform, at least once weekly. She’s able to job alerts from all over the country so you can be assured there’ll be at least one from your town of residence.
CHEPCHIKONI
This is one babe living in God’s blessings and is not shying away from telling the whole world about it. Nowadays she’s started a segment on her IG stories, where she shares a Bible verse and what she’s understood from that verse. She even takes her time to type a whole prayer. I do love watching people use their platforms to praise God for who He is, and this is exactly what Chep does with hers.
Besides that, Chepchikoni is a brilliant foodpreneur. She’s currently running two restaurants, wow! I’ve been to both and on both instances, I was AMAZED to say the least. The food – top tier, the aesthetics – very relaxing, the location – easily accessible. Yaani Chepchikoni restaurants are the places to have cute affordable dates, especially in the evenings.
SUE SUED
Another boss babe I really admire. Sue is the lady behind Sued watches. I’ve listened to her entrepreneurial story twice and all I say is respect entrepreneurs. Listen or watch the story here, to appreciate her work.
She’s definitely gained so much entrepreneurial advice over the years and she’s kind enough to not keep it to herself. She therefore is almost always posting business nuggets on her page and quite recently, she started one-on-one coaching sessions. I’m definitely saving up for a session with her.
There are definitely other ladies making social media a beautiful place to be, so I’ll probably have another post(s). By now you must have realized I love creating series π.
