Today’s post was meant to be a beautiful one. I’m not supposed to start it off by ranting, but at this point I’m boiling with anger and at the same time, I’m quite scared.
For context, I’m typing this on Monday 7th March, 2022. There’s this video that’s gone viral on Kenyan social media circles, today. I’m not even giving more details on that because I think if you didn’t see that video or even hear about it, you are better off staying as clueless as you were.
Watching the lady scream for help, broke me. I cannot stand a random person touching me, even by mistake. You see how dondas hold you, pulling you to their vehicles? That disgusts me. I therefore do not want to imagine the trauma and the disgust that babe is going through, up to now.
How much of a pervert and a senseless being, can one be?!?
I hope the lady gets all the support and help she needs. I pray that those that are holding her hand in this journey, will have the strength and grace they need to walk with her to the end.
What irks me most, is that this is not an isolated case. It’s now becoming sort of a pattern, that almost every month, we’ll have an assault case hitting the headlines.
May all our perpetrators know no peace!
May our screams for help haunt them in their sleep!
May the tears we’ve shed create a well of anguish and despair in their lives!
May the wrath of the curses we’ve pronounced on them find them!
And if they have to die, may they die a slow and painful death!
This is quite a bitter post, so see you next week (or maybe tomorrow) for today’s intended post. I’ve been looking forward to sharing it with you, for so long.
