BETTER NEVER THAN LATE🥱

I hit the 50-article mark with my previous post. What’s funny is that I didn’t realize it until when I was about to start typing today’s article. Well done, Makena. Well done! Let’s now go for 100 articles, yeah? Then we can even have a small celebration, right?☺

Today I went shoe shopping. While fitting shoes, a gentleman sits next to me. Few minutes later, a lady comes and stands in front of him. The babe is also fitting shoes, so she’s asking the dude which shoe he prefers (the shoes she was showing him weren’t of the same pair). I now start getting interested in them, because whatever they are, that’s a cute moment right there. I really I’m struggling to not conclude they are a couple because they could be colleagues, could be siblings, heck they could even be strangers.

The guy picks one of the two shoes and they agree that she’ll get that one. Then the lady bends to hug the man. Now, there’s the ‘colleague hug’ and that isn’t it. These people even go ahead and kiss. The man then gets out a 1000 bob note and gives it to the lady, to pay for the shoes. They then both leave the shop, holding hands😭. I can’t wait to see more of that PDA next month. Sign me up for it!!!

Happy February!

We are done with the first month of the year. Trust me from here, you really won’t realize time pass. In a short while, Mariah Carey will be gracing these streets again. This is an indirect reminder to start working on the resolutions you set in January, if you still haven’t started😏.

I’ll take every opportunity presented to me, to celebrate love. I’m a huge fan of Willy Muturi’s work. He really is good with his words; he brings his A-game while typing his captions😂. Today I came across photos of a beautiful engagement he shot yesterday. The newest fiancé really did put so much thought into that engagement. I stan men that go out of their way to create memories for their partners. Hebu just look at thisaah pure vibes!

Later in in the evening, I went to pick some documents in Lang’ata. Throughout the day, I kept pushing myself to make a call to the office and find out their closing hour. Everytime I picked my phone to call them, I convinced myself that there was no need to. Long story short, I found the office closed. I mean who’s still in office at 1700hrs?!?

I now had half an hour to make it to an appointment in Madaraka. Ideally, in the evenings, coming from L.A to Madaraka ought to take roughly 15 minutes because then you are moving against the traffic, or so I thought.

In as much as it’s a short distance, time was really not on my side. I even thought of ordering a cab, because I’d rather spend money, than get late. However, a Rongai nganya showed up and I boarded. That was a VERY wrong move😂😭.

Guys, we used the Southern Bypass🤦🏿‍♀️. The conductor explained that there was standstill traffic around Carnivore and so they didn’t want to get caught up in it. You remember that meme that was talking about how Rongai drivers would rather drive to Tanzania, then Uganda, then Webuye just to avoid a FIVE-minute snarl-up than just wait? Today I really appreciated that meme because it’s author did not exaggerate!

I found myself on an unexpected road trip. Wasn’t fun! All through I couldn’t help but wonder how I was now heading to Mombasa Road, yet my destination is along Lang’ata Road. Mimi hii Nairobi imenichosha!

To answer your question, no I didn’t show up for the appointment. At times, I believe in ‘better never, than late🥱’.
