Most institutions opened their doors last week, after the December festivities. However, a good number got back to operation this week. Therefore, this week has been a ‘1st 2022 work week’, for many, me being among them.
The past three weeks, were heavenly. Going through life without having to think of 0000hrs’ deadlines, 0800hrs’ classes or appropriate outfits to wear to school, was the IT!!! I’ll take a while to get over the holiday that was.

I travelled back to Nairobi today. Eh please, me I’m not meant for this Nairobi life๐ญ. I’m better off in 012.
In the matatu, I sat next to two dudes (I prefer the back seat, for long rides). From their conversation, I gathered that they were classmates in Primary School. The one seated next to me was LOUD!!! I was actually happy that he alighted mid-journey, because there was no way I could make it to Nairobi with such a loud seatmate.
Getting to Nairobi TWO Little Cab drivers cancelled me. The first was on a call that didn’t seem to end, so we couldn’t communicate. The second asked where I was heading to and he just said aii and hung up. Honestly, it was the odocity for me๐.

We are already 10 days into 2022. That was fast!!!
I found my place dusty; aii kwani Nairobi hakujakuwa kukinyesha?!? So I spent the better part of my morning tidying up the place. I also spread a pair of sheets that I bought in September, but I’ve been keeping them in my closet, for a reason best known by my ancestors. You can clearly tell that I’m part of the ‘new year new me‘ bandwagon.
I’ve been having a couple of editing apps filling up space in my phone. After procrastinating throughout December, I have finally started making use of the apps. I really I’m looking forward to sharing with you, the beautiful edited photos I took over the holiday. Hebu mnigas up mkiziona priss๐ค.(check out this)

Typing this two days later because KPLC decided to outdo themselves the whole of Tuesday and Wednesday evening.
Tuesday was typically a ‘lights out’ day, nationally. I actually love it when all of us are going through such an experience together, because then, memes are assured.

My aunt asked me to be on her bridal line-up๐ญ. Me, I’ve never been a bridesmaid. As a matter of fact, the last time I was part of a bridal party was 10+ years ago. So you can imagine how happy I am, right now.
I got my measurements taken and I can’t wait to see how that dress will come out. Her theme colour and the designs she gave us to choose from, are top-tier!!! I’ll probably document the whole experience and share it here.
Coming from Kenyatta Market, you have to get to Mbagathi Way (Raila Odinga Way) and then proceed to either Kenyatta or Madaraka. Mbagathi is a one-way lane, so we needed to cross to the other lane that heads to Madaraka. There is no barrier between the two lanes at the section of Mbagathi Way right outside KM. Considering how rowdy Nairobi matatu drivers are, I expected him to just cross to the other lane. I was pleasantly surprised when he stayed on the lane heading to Kenyatta, until we got to the turn where one can join the other lane. I honestly didn’t see that level of discipline coming. Or maybe is it because it was during the day? Would he have still done that had it been at night? I don’t know guys. I don’t know.

Nothing much happened today. I spent the whole day seated and seriously reading. THIS IS THE ENERGY I CALLED FOR, IN 2022!!! This is one year that I’ll get things done, as soon as they should be done.
