Aaah I high-key excited get for my friend’s birthday and this babe’s big day is no exception. This year especially, I’ve seen people around me lose their YOUNG friends and therefore seeing people I love turn a year older is a big deal for me. I mean can’t be me letting such a blessing from God go uncelebrated and unappreciated.

So this mamii is turning twenty… oops I am not sure she is ok with me saying her age na mimi sitaki tukosanie vitu ndogondogo 🤣. As I type this, I hope I don’t cry mid-way because this is a babe I look at and I appreciate that my dad forced me to join campus (a long story that one) because otherwise I won’t have met such a queen . Here’s why I call her a queen😊

The fact that she is a top fan of ‘Bata Ngoma’ makes her prettier; we all know babes that don ‘Bata Ngomas’ are pretty na si ati nini ama nini. As a matter of fact Bata should use her as their brand ambassador for those TOP-TIER shoes.

Cheps introduced me to people that turned out to be persons I needed to make my campus life interesting – she’s made it a memorable experience as well, and for that, I’m grateful babe❤.

It feels good when someone asks for your opinion on something, and they actually consider it. She asks me for opinion on quite a number of things and Maina acha nikwambie, to have someone that trusts your opinion, even when it’s not what they wanted to hear, is a GREAT feeling bana and I’m so here for it.

Msupa amenifunza the Serenity Prayer. She has on several occasions mentioned that it is what has pushed her through this year. For a long time I didn’t think much about this prayer but at this point I have to admit that it has been my prayer as well in like the last few hours. Accepting to live with things you can’t change is quite tasking and therefore asking for the grace to, is very important. I know you most probably don’t know the Serenity Prayer, so this is it ; God, grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change, Courage to change the things I can, and Wisdom to know the difference.

My girl is quite artistic. She’s your go-to person when you need to bring life to the plainest thing around you. Currently, she’s working with Branco Events, an events company as their Events Manager. You guys, her work is out of this world!

Being artistic comes with being an entrepreneur, IMO. Besides the events gig, she runs a company of her own, @all_things_yarn254 on IG. She makes cutely warm scarves, sun dresses and fluffy mats. Oooh yeah and gazebos and hanging shelves…basically, she’s your plug for interior design/decor.

Old age comes with wisdom, and so the other day in one of our banter sessions, she shared with me some life nuggets she’s picked over the years. Read through and reflect on each of them. Nugget G will surprise you 🤣.
