I first got to know of blogging through my high school deskmate💜. She’d often talk of Sharon Mundia amongst others.
Then one day during those self mikutano I was like “girl why don’t you just start a blog of your own???” This was a shower thought 🚿 and it has turned out to be an amazing roller coaster.
Blogging or rather writing has been an amazing outlet for me. In high school I used to have a journal that I’d update on almost a daily basis. I’m the kind of person that will find it too much asking for help and therefore the journal was always a refreshing retreat.
Nowadays, I don’t do journals anymore and hai don’t know why guys…I DON’T KNOW!!! However coming up with articles has now become a hobby because this platform allows me to express myself.
I never thought I could be an inspiration to anyone; mimi sasa😂 until I started blogging. Once I put up a new blog, I get overwhelming feedback of how I’ve made someone’s day or I’ve inspired someone or how relatable my content is. I’d say such positive feedback is enough for content creators out here. Keep bringing the good vibes. Irrriiizzz all we need.
My discipline levels have gone up since I started blogging. I know that I have a date with y’all at least once every month and it is up to me to ensure the date happens. Guys this requires so much discipline, more than I thought of. Halafu when I get late to post a blog(the way I’ve slacked with the last 3 blogs of this series) I’m out here giving myself lectures😂 and hee that is actually very fulfilling.
Writing has led me to read alot (not as much as I would want to, but I’m better off than I was before I started writing). It is interesting seeing how other writers are talking of very normal situations but making them sound like experiences that no one has had before.
I hope to read at least 5 books this year coupled with blogs from my fave,Biko Zulu and Ijeoma Kola and a whole lot of others❤.
Yees I have become a bit better at planning. Like I have a schedule of what I want to write about and when I want to write. It is always a winning moment for me, whenever I tick off a topic I wanted to address and I’ve already addressed it, from the schedule.
My mantra for 2020 is Just do it!!!.
Don’t wait any longer, everything will fall in place once you start✨. I am a witness. One year after I had my first blog, I’ve never lacked content for my platform yet before I started this was my biggest fear.
